P.S.  Most of these materials came as request from teachers (big thank you to Rosebud!) so if you have any things you’d like to see then please write them up in the comments!

P.P.S. I’m thinking of maybe making a Haunted House theme.  I’m thinking something like Where is Baby Monkey? Rooms of the House English or the Let’s Build a House, which do you think would be better?

    Yeah another Halloween song!
I vote for the ‘rooms of the house’ though a building theme can be fun, too. If you do the rooms, may I suggest using ‘WHO’. You have a few WHAT, WHERE, WHEN but not one for who.

    Can’t wait to hear it!

    Wow, another song! Great.

    gumby, great thing pointed out!!!
    Yes, we need “who”!

    Hi,
A haunted house cover picture but with the focus on the rooms inside would be great! Thanks.
(We already have 2 house songs and the Gingerbread house song can be used at Christmas time, the kids loved that one last year!)

“Who” is also a good idea. A rhyming word for Who? could be Boo!, maybe?
Who is hiding in the living room? Who? Who!?
Baby Monkey is hiding in the living room, Boo! BOO!
Bit repetitive and long but just an idea. :.)

The “Words 1” section could be spooky pictures of the living room, kitchen with cobwebs etc so the kids learn the room names.

In the “Words 2 section” we could have baby Monkey hiding behind the sofa in the living room so the children have to guess where and who is hiding.
Then when you click on the room baby Monkey could jump out from behind the sofa and scare everyone and/or say “BOO”! (so the kids learn the vocab.)
Then you can see which kid(s) guessed correctly?

Other characters in other rooms could be the animals from the Spaghetti worksheets as most of the kids will recognise Mr. Dog and gang from previous themes.
If not you could have their pictures as A4 and mini cards attached so we can teach/review them beforehand?

And/or Baby Monkey’s family but then you would have to teach family members first so maybe this could be an optional song like the “Make a face” and “Draw a face” options?

You could also use the 8 cute Witch, Wizard, Mummy, Bat, Monster, Scarecrow, Spider and Black cat characters. (Cat/Bat)
Would this be too scary though,i.e. scary characters in scary rooms? However, then this theme could be taught after the Happy Halloween/Trick or Treat/I want to be..a Pirate lessons so a good review of vocabulary from 3 other lessons included?

I did not do any Halloween themes last year but I am going to try all of them apart from I want to be…this year (due to there not being enough weeks before Halloween because of the Autumn break!). I will start with Skeleton Bosyparts/Soup next week!
I hope the younger ones do not get scared as I saw from earlier posts some kids did so I am sticking with the cute songs.

    Thanks

By the way, Richard, would you be able to do an Autumn/Harvest song? It could be tied in with the Seasons and linked to Apple bobbing?
Such as an Autumn version of the What colour is Christmas song, for instance, What colour is Autumn? e.g. It’s orange, orange, orange like a pumpkin, or It’s yellow, yellow, yellow.. It’s a yellow sunflower, red apple/chestnut, green leaf before falling…brown cone/nut..purple scarecrow’s jacket…blue Autumn sky…white clouds…pink autumn leaves that have fallen…black sunflower centre/cat/night sky?..silver moon …gold stars and bronze squirrel collecting nuts???

    Thank you

First a big thank you for all you do!
As for requests, sorry, maybe there is such a song, but I couldn’t find it for “There is/There are”, is there?

  5. Natalya
